Well-Rounded Understanding of Property Management

Valerie has been in the property management industry for 18 years. Beginning as a leasing agent and working her way up to property manager, she’s managed several properties, handled leasing and sales management at the corporate level, and earned her CAM and CAPS certifications. As Senior Strategic Account Manager for Grace Hill, Valerie uses her extensive property management experience to help client training administrators use Vision as their partner to run successful training programs.

Passion for Training

Training has always been an important part of Valerie’s career. As a leasing agent, she was tapped early on to train other leasing agents. And as a manager, she was often sent new managers to train. Her particular passion is sales training.  “When I started managing sales at the corporate level, I insisted on training my own salespeople so I could hold them more accountable. I love training in all settings – classroom, webinar, and one-on-one. Each type of training is valuable in its own unique way and when used in partnership with our online course offerings delivers a complete and efficient training program.”

A Knack for Problem-Solving

Valerie excels at problem-solving to help make her clients’ jobs easier. “When someone is having a hard time with something and I can fix it or make it click for them, I really enjoy that. Even if I can’t fix something myself I can usually figure out what the problem is and work with the right people to solve it.”

Creativity and Compassion

Valerie’s creativity and people skills apply on and off the job. In her free time, she enjoys crafting and making cakes and making others feel good about themselves. “A colleague recently told me that I truly understand the power of treating others the way I would want to be treated. That meant a lot to me.”

“It’s been nice to see things come full circle and see some of those big dreams realized.”

An Integral Part of Grace Hill’s Growth

Being a part of Grace Hill’s growth over the years has been a pleasure for Valerie. “I was part of the old Grace Hill, which was wonderful in so many ways, but then we went through a lot of changes in order to grow and bring things to our clients that would not have been possible without big changes. It’s been nice to see things come full circle and see some of those big dreams realized.”
