New Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Training from Grace Hill
As the national conversation on DEI evolves and remains top of mind for organizations in the multifamily housing industry, Grace Hill is introducing a series of new courses that address racism and racial bias head-on. These courses provide a foundational understanding of the issues for all employees so they can fully participate in their organization’s DEI programs.
The courses provide practical strategies to help reduce the impact that biases have on actions and offer strategies to avoid and respond to microaggressions. New short courses available include:
- Understanding Racism
- Recognizing and Overcoming Racial Bias
- Recognizing and Responding to Microaggressions
All of the courses require active participation by learners. Research shows that meaningful learning happens when we actively engage in the process. The goal is to give learners opportunities to process what they learn in a meaningful way and move it into their long-term memory so they can access it in their day-to-day life.
Grace Hill has also partnered with Melissa D. White, Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit 501(C)(3) organization Writing Our Wrongs, Inc., and Stephanie Anderson, Manager of Industry Operations at NAA, to host a webinar on overcoming racial bias, taking place Wednesday, November 18th.
