National Fair Housing Month celebrates the passage of the Fair Housing Act in April of 1968. This act made it illegal to discriminate in the sale, rental, or financing of housing based on race, color, national origin, religion, or gender.
In January of this year, President Biden signed an executive order extending protections provided by the Fair Housing Act to include gender identity and sexual orientation. At Grace Hill, we firmly believe in equal housing opportunities and believe our nation’s commitment to those rights should be celebrated!
The Forgetting Curve
Ever wonder why sometimes your learners forget what they’ve learned after only a few weeks?
You’re not alone. As time passes, without actively engaging with what has been learned in a meaningful way, learners forget! There’s a term for this – the Forgetting Curve – and it shows how over time, people forget what they’ve learned if they don’t revisit and reinforce that knowledge.
Grace Hill is happy to announce that this week, we have launched all-new Fair Housing Boosters that are now available and LIVE in Vision as part of our Essentials package.
All About Fair Housing Boosters
Our Fair Housing Boosters are short, engaging learning activities that can be completed in five minutes or less and are specifically designed to combat the Forgetting Curve on important Fair Housing topics.
The new titles are:
- Fair Housing Booster: Practicing Fair Housing
- Fair Housing Booster: Criminal Background Checks
- Fair Housing Booster: Local Nuisance Ordinances
- Fair Housing Booster: Limited English Proficiency
If you are not currently a Vision customer and would like to learn more about our learning management system, schedule a demo with us by visiting our website.
Try a Booster, Win a Gift Card
What better way to celebrate National Fair Housing Month than to reward people for extending and reinforcing their Fair Housing knowledge? We can’t think of one!
We have three $50 Amazon Gift Cards up for grabs!
Every Fair Housing Booster completion before April 30th will be entered into a drawing to win one of the gift cards, and that includes administrators! The more boosters you take, the more entries you get. Take all four boosters, and you get four entries. We will announce the winners in May.
